grapefruit weight loss juice
You are reading this article because you are interested in grapefruit weight loss, and the benefits of the grapefruit diet or the grapefruit juice diet. The problem with writing an article on the benefits of grapefruits is that there are simply too many to mention in such a small space! The most well-known vitamin in grapefruit is vitamin C which helps fight off colds and flu, but the fruit also contains vitamins A, B complex, E and K. There are also minerals such as calcium, folic acid, phosphorus and potassium that may help fight certain cancers and other serious disease.

Something about eating or drinking grapefruit also makes you feel full. Think of it as the fruit equivalent of peanut butter – when you eat peanut butter you feel more full than eating the same calorie intake of something else; grapefruit does the same (with the added benefit of being a natural product).

sugar free candy
When you see a label that says that the food is sugar free we automatically seem to assume that it is much healthier for us. In one sense, this is true; in terms of the health of your teeth if you eat foods and consume drinks that are sugar free then you will reduce the build up of plaque on your teeth and, therefore, you will have less chance of your teeth rotting. You can try this yourself; when you think about dessert I can guarantee that the first thing to cross your mind is sugary foods. You’ll be thinking of pastries and cakes and biscuits; all the forbidden delicacies that we aren’t allowed and that we have forced ourselves to strike out of our diets and the mere thought of having a pudding sends shivers down our spine.

woman checking fat content of a product
We have been indoctrinated into believing that all fats are bad fats and that we must not eat any of them or we risk a whole array of heart conditions and becoming overweight. In actual fact, whilst there are bad fats and we must do our best to avoid these bad fats (or risk the aforementioned conditions) there are many foods that contain healthy fats that we must consume.

Healthy fats are essential in a healthy diet because fat is needed in the body as a store of energy.

family eating breakfast
We all lead very busy lives and, often, we find ourselves having to sacrifice various activities during the day. This is usually the case early in the morning, whether because we over sleep or had to get up earlier than you normally would, and the tendency is to skip our breakfast because, let’s face it, generally we don’t eat that much and we can probably make it to lunch time without needing to eat – that large tea is still languishing around in there to give me sustenance. However, eating breakfast, and in particular, eating breakfast early, is the most important thing you can do in the morning in terms of losing weight.
