stress and weight loss
Mental stress is caused by feeling pressurised by a range of different factors. We can often feel stressed by our work, family affairs, friends, even holidays can be stressful times for those organising it. No one likes feeling stressed and there are a number of symptoms that we should look out for if we want to identify stress. The main symptom is an inability to sleep. Many families are also incredibly helpful when it comes to meal times. When one member of

smoking and weight loss
In the UK, one third of the population are classified as obese. This is a problem that needs rectifying. However, many people turn to smoking as an adequate weight loss solution. There are medical reasons for this – smoking increases your metabolic rate and, as such, increases the speed at which calories are burnt up – subsequently resulting in weight loss. Also, nicotine acts as a hunger suppressant and makes you feel less inclined to eat; you therefore eat less and lose weight.

However, undoubtedly, this is the wrong way to go about it – although smoking may help you lose weight

So, you’ve done everything you can to lose weight. You’ve joined the gym, started eating healthily and even joined the local weight loss group that will give you moral support and make you feel great about yourself.

So, you go to one of the meetings confident that you’ve lost weight – perhaps even speculating as to just how much you’ve lost and thoroughly looking forward to the feeling of euphoria that you get when the whole group is clapping you for your achievement.
